On March 25, 2024, Mr. Shirantha Herath, the Director General of the Chief of Staff Office, Presidential Secretariat, Government of Sri Lanka, paid a visit to the SACEP Secretariat. The purpose of his visit was to engage in discussions regarding the Plastic Free Rivers and Seas for South Asia (PLEASE) Project activities with Ms. Rokeya Khaton, Director General of SACEP.
During the meeting, both parties exchanged valuable insights, strategies, and experiences aimed at combatting plastic pollution in the rivers and seas of South Asia.
