During his official mission to Bangladesh on 27 November 2025, the Director General of SACEP, Mr. Norbu Wangchuk, held two key bilateral meetings in Dhaka aimed at strengthening regional environmental cooperation.
He first met with Dr. Farhina Ahmed, Secretary of the Ministry of Environment, where discussions centered on ongoing collaborative efforts and opportunities to further enhance regional engagement.
The Director General also met with Hon’ble Syeda Rizwana Hasan, Adviser to the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change. Their discussions underscored the crucial role of regional organizations like SACEP in advancing cross-border environmental action. He also shared updates on the PLEASE Project and highlighted several initiatives of particular relevance to Bangladesh.
SACEP remains committed to supporting its Member States through strengthened cooperation, knowledge exchange, and impactful regional programmes.
